Project Description

Principal Neil Schliewe of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran School discusses working with DVI Consulting to develop technology plans to meet the needs of their students and their community.

“Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, exists as Christians united in faith and worship by the Word of God to share the saving gospel of Jesus Christ with the Mequon-Thiensville community and the world. As such, our mission is to reach out to the lost and to nurture the faithful through public worship, Bible study, fellowship, and promotion of Christian education at all levels.”

DVI began its relationship with Calvary in 2010 with the initial purchase of 8 laptops. Since that time, DVI has assisted the school in the following ways:

  • Supplied every new laptop, desktop, and thin client computer since 2010
  • Deployed new Microsoft active directory and file server
  • Upgraded the data network, firewall and content filter to business grade equipment
  • Installed a new IP-based phone system for both the church and school campus
  • Implemented new carrier services that added capacity, provided internet redundancy, and allowed for specialized remote access for faculty and others
  • Restructured the school’s Microsoft software licensing services reducing costs by 37% while providing free upgrades going forward
  • Expanded wireless coverage throughout school building

In 2013, Calvary selected DVI to be their primary technology support vendor. As part of our standard support service contracts, DVI has provided Calvary with online support portal access. Calvary’s online account allows school personnel yet another method for requesting support, as well as a method for tracking ticket status and accessing additional self-help information.
