Caliendo Savio Enterprises (CSE) is a 32-year-old promotional merchandising agency specializing in the development, hosting and fulfillment of branded merchandise, uniform, award and incentive programs. CSE’s ability to amplify their client’s brands and inspire their teams and customers is their reason for being.

We asked Charlie Caliendo (Chief Information Officer and Partner) and Karen Abney (Customer Service and Purchasing Support) to talk about their business and their DVI Consulting experience.

As CSE began looking to replace its Nortel phone system, their strategic goals required that they look at a solution that would allow them the ability to:

  • Allow call center managers to change phone system automated call distribution (ACD) menus, call queues, and assigned agents to better service contracted clients
  • Have the new phone system work in concert with contact data base in order to speed up the handling of inbound call requests
  • Provide more robust call reports to their contracted customers
  • Integrate sales personnel mobile phones into their office extension
  • Support remote employees

In addition to implementing a Digium Swithcvox phone system solution that met the desired requirements, DVI also installed a standalone voice-only switch network which converged at CSE’s core switch. Work included the establishment of VLANs and QoS services to support proper data traffic segmentation for VoIP/SIP, internal wireless, guest wireless, and data.

Over the years, DVI has also implemented new and more cost effective carrier services on three different occasions, project management services during their building more to their current location, as well as vendor selection consulting on two additional projects.
